What is Reiki? (Ray-Key) Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes universal energy healing. It was discovered by Mikao Usui in March 1922. It is practiced by “laying on hands” on the individual. Reiki comes from Japanese kanji,. Kanji are ideograms used in the written language of Japan. Rei means universal and Ki (Chi in chinese, Prana in Sanskrit, Ti or Ki in Hawaiin, Holy Spirit for the western world and science calls it biofield energy) means life force energy. ReiKi defines as UNIVERSAL LIFE FORCE ENERGY. Reiki is very simple yet powerful technique that can be easily learned by anyone. What happens during a Reiki session? The client or the individual that will receive the healing will either sits on a chair or lay on a massage table. Their main thing to do is to relax and allow Reiki to flow through them. Everything is intentionally done.  Reiki practitioner is only the channel of that life force energy coming from the (Source, God, Creator, Highest Being, Universe etc whatever you want to call that unconditional love). WE are ALL ONE with the Source Energy. A lot of the healing comes from the clients or the individual. Reiki practitioner are only conduit of that life force energy. Reiki has its own intelligence and knows exactly where to go and what to do. It is not necessary to direct the Reiki. It communicates wit the client’s highest self and uses this information to decide where to go and what to do. It makes it possible for the client to find the healing qualities inside themselves. What happens after a Reiki session? Relax and soak it in whatever it is you are feeling, physically, and emotionally. Get some water and some snacks. Take care of “SELF”. YOU are the most important person of your life. Some people will write down things after the session is over and reflect. When you get home, take a shower and intentionally imagine all the stagnant energy that is not needed leaving your body and bringing in the energy for your highest good.
